City of Vaughan Hosts Opening Night Screening of York Region's 2013 Multimedia Film Festival

The City of Vaughan will host the opening night of the 2013 Multimedia Film Festival of York Region on May 6, at Vaughan City Hall, 2141 Major Mackenzie Drive. The Vaughan screening, to be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the the Multi-Purpose Room, is the first in a series to be held across the region.
 
The annual festival celebrates the short film accomplishments of Vaughan’s filmmakers and others from York Region. Films include documentaries, docu-dramas, dramas and animation.
 
The event features guest speakers and refreshments. An entry fee of $6 will be charged; tickets can be purchased at the door or online at www.yorkregionfilmfestival.com. Proceeds will support filmmakers participating in the Multimedia Film Festival of York Region.
