Concerts in the Park wraps up on Aug. 10 at Mackenzie
Glen District Park
The
City of Vaughan's 28th annual Vaughan Celebrates Concerts in the Park series
presented by TD and event sponsor Tim Hortons is concluding its 2022 series on
Wednesday, Aug. 10. This free event has taken place throughout the summer and
the final concert is with The Blushing Brides – The Original Tribute to The
Rolling Stones! at Mackenzie Glen District Park, 200 Cranston Park
Ave.
This year's
schedule featured professional entertainment for all ages with genres like pop
and rock. There were six concerts on select Wednesdays until Aug. 10, weather
permitting, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Accessible
parking, pathways and washrooms are available at each concert location, along
with free ice cream while supplies last. Find additional details at vaughan.ca/concerts.
The 2022 Concerts in the Park series marks the return of in-person events
in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Concerts in the Park reflects the City's
commitment to active, safe and diverse communities, which is a priority in the
Council-approved 2018-2022 Term of
Council Service Excellence Strategic Plan. By supporting and promoting community
events, arts, culture and heritage, the City is continuing to foster a
welcoming municipality with a high quality of life.
