Service Excellence delivered online
Residents can now submit and track a service request
with new 24/7 Service Vaughan tool
Delivering Service
Excellence is the driving force behind all Vaughan programs, initiatives and
services. With the new Service Vaughan reporting tool, citizens
can now submit a request online in an easier, more
convenient way.
Service
Vaughan offers a seamless, self-service online reporting and follow-up platform.
Through the tool, residents and businesses can report on or request assistance with
non-emergency City services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Currently,
the tool supports requests on six City services, including:
- debris, vandalism and graffiti
- garbage and recycling
- parks, trees and grass
- roads and sidewalks
- signs and streetlights
- water services
Further benefits
include a tracking feature to check the status of the submitted inquiry online,
the option to receive auto-updates either via email or through the online tool
itself, and the ability to provide feedback upon completion of the request. The
City is also working to add additional services into the portal.
Along with
providing a platform to request help with services, the Service Vaughan tool also aligns
with the 2018-2022 Term of
Council Service Excellence Strategic Plan’s goal of enhancing
access and streamlining citizen experience with the use of technology.
QUOTE
“Service Excellence
is at the core of everything we do in Vaughan. Providing citizens with tools to
share and obtain information is one of the many ways we are delivering on our
commitment to foster an excellent quality of life. The City's official website
is vital to our communications efforts and is the most utilized platform for
residents to obtain information. Integrating a self-service and follow-up
platform creates efficiencies by giving people the ability to share their
concerns at any hour of the day, from the comfort of their
keyboard or personal device. This new feature is quick, easy and empowers all
Vaughan residents to participate in maintaining our beautiful neighbourhoods.”
