Take Advantage of Advance Voting in Vaughan

Oct. 6, 2014

Residents in the City of Vaughan do not need to wait until municipal Voting Day on Monday, Oct. 27 to cast their ballot.

The City is encouraging voters to take advantage of advance voting from Oct. 11 to Oct. 21, with the exception of Thanksgiving Monday, at eight convenient locations in Vaughan.
  • Vaughan City Hall daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Father Ermanno Bulfon Community Centre, Vellore Village Community Centre, North Thornhill Community Centre and Dufferin Clark Community Centre on Oct. 11 and 12 and Oct. 18 to Oct. 21, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Vaughan Mills and the Promenade Shopping Centre on Oct. 11 and 12 and Oct. 18 to Oct. 21, Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • York University on Oct. 14 and Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
All advance voting locations will use a ‘vote anywhere’ approach which will allow qualified Vaughan electors to vote at any of the locations. Residents who vote during the advance voting period will be automatically struck off the voters’ list which will prevent them from voting more than once.

All voting places will be physically accessible throughout the election. Voters who cannot mark a paper ballot and want to vote independently are encouraged to attend advance voting at City Hall, Father Ermanno Bulfon Community Centre, Dufferin Clark Community Centre or York University to use the audio/tactile voting interface available at these locations.

Vote results will not be produced until the close of polls on Oct. 27.
