Help us celebrate the official opening of the Pierre Berton Heritage Centre – Vaughan’s newest multi-purpose, accessible community facility. The space features a permanent exhibit on Canada’s national story, as told through the works of one of our nation’s most distinguished authors – media pioneer and former long-time resident of Kleinburg, Pierre Berton. The ceremony will be followed by light refreshments and tours.

Join us for the grand opening ceremony, ribbon cutting and afternoon celebrations for Phase 1 of Vaughan’s new 900-acre North Maple Regional Park. Beginning at 1 p.m., participate in family activities, watch soccer games, explore guided nature walks and enjoy local vendors. No public parking on site – take the shuttle from Vaughan City Hall or park at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic School, 131 Ravineview Drive, and walk 10 minutes south to the park.
