City of Vaughan facilities closed for Thanksgiving

Whether you are cooking a traditional turkey dinner, planning something less conventional or just focusing on spending time with family and friends, Thanksgiving is more than just festivities. It gives us time to think about lessons learned, how we can spread happiness around and take time to look back at all the great memories and good people who came into our lives.
Here are
some activities for fun and relaxation during the Thanksgiving weekend:
- Visit a local park or playground with your family and friends.
- Discover local neighbourhoods, nature walks and trail sites through the Great Walks of Vaughan.
- Experience autumn’s beauty with a guided fall colour walk at Kortright Centre for Conservation.
As you
are making your plans, keep the City of Vaughan’s facility closures in mind:
- City of Vaughan municipal offices, including Vaughan City Hall and the Joint Operations Centre, will be closed for Thanksgiving on Monday, Oct. 8. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
- Vaughan Animal Services and community centres will be closed on Monday, Oct. 8.
- Vaughan Public Libraries will be closed on Monday, Oct. 8.
Reminders:
- Waste collection will not be affected and will continue as regularly scheduled.
