QUOTE
“International Women's Day is a meaningful occasion to pause and reflect upon the outstanding contribution women have made throughout history. I invite all citizens to join us virtually today for the City's annual International Women's Day event. I also want to thank and recognize the performers and artists for sharing their time and talent with our community. In Vaughan, we are committed to celebrating the significant achievements and strong leadership of remarkable women here at home and in communities worldwide. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive city where everyone is valued, respected and encouraged to realize their full potential. I believe that when women receive support and equal opportunities, they are empowered to inspire change and continue charting the path for future women trailblazers, and, ultimately, all citizens. Today, on International Women's Day, we pay tribute to every woman working to make a positive contribution to society.”
- Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua
