Vaughan to Review Master Plan for Parks, Recreation and Libraries

The City of Vaughan is looking at how its parks, recreation and library facilities are provided to the community through the review of the Active Together Master Plan. The City is currently soliciting public input for the review and update of this plan, last revised in 2008.

Working with Monteith Brown Planning Consultants, an internationally-recognized recreation consulting firm, an updated blueprint will be developed to ensure that City services and facilities meet the needs of residents now and in the future by identifying community demand and needs until 2031 and beyond.

Residents will have several opportunities to provide input on existing programs and future needs through a consultation process that will include: public information sessions; a random household telephone survey; and user group surveys.

Public Information Sessions:

Thursday, October 11, 2012
7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Vellore Village Community Centre (Cafetorium)
1 Villa Royale Avenue, Woodbridge

Tuesday, October 23, 2012
