Volunteers in Vaughan Recognized for Outstanding Contributions
April 10, 2014
Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council recognized 65 outstanding volunteers at an awards ceremony held at Vaughan City Hall on April 9 as part of National Volunteer Week.
Each year, the City’s non-profit organizations and community groups are invited to nominate an individual whose passion and actions make a distinct impact in the community.
Family and friends attended the special event as the award recipients received a volunteer recognition certificate and lapel pin from Mayor Bevilacqua. The festivities also included a performance by Venessa Bandiera who sang the national anthem.
