Business Planning Launchpad Series
Delivered by the Vaughan Business and Entrepreneurship Centre (VBEC), the Business Planning Launchpad Series is a free virtual program designed to support startups and established small businesses with training sessions. In addition, all participants can book 30-minute one-on-one meetings with one of the City’s entrepreneur advisors to receive feedback on their business and financial plans.
Each session covers one of the four below training topics:
Ideation – Learn how to validate a business idea, vision, mission and market research to test business assumptions.
Marketing – Learn about target markets, unique selling points and marketing basics and must-dos to build a solid marketing plan to generate leads.
Operations and Sales – Learn about customizing effective sales approaches and processes and operational and risk management.
Financial – Learn about finances, budgeting and cash flow management, and how to finalize a business plan.

Ideation: Thursday, May 2 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Marketing: Thursday, May 9 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Operations and Sales: Thursday, May 16 from noon to 1:30 p.m.

VBEC, in partnership with York University’s YSpace, is also offering customized workshops to provide entrepreneurs and small business owners with the tools, skills and connections needed to launch and grow a business in the food and beverage industry.

Launch and Grow Your Tech Venture Series
Are you an entrepreneur with an early-stage technology startup seeking support to launch your business? VBEC and YSpace have also teamed up to deliver a free tech venture webinar series, providing tech-based entrepreneurs with the tools needed to succeed.

How to Build a Tech Startup: Wednesday, May 8 from noon to 1:00 p.m.
AMA Fireside Chat: Wednesday, May 22 from noon to 1 p.m.
The food and tech YSpace series will conclude with Launch and Grow Your Tech and Food Venture – Ecosystem Overview Session on Friday, June 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
