The City’s 27th annual Vaughan
Celebrates Concerts in the Park, presented by TD and event sponsor Tim Hortons,
kicks off tonight! Multi-platinum
and multiple JUNO Award-nominated iconic band Platinum
Blonde will launch the virtual series tonight at 7:30 p.m.
This year’s talent lineup features professional entertainment for all ages with genres like disco, pop, oldies, reggae and rock. The full schedule is below:
- Wednesday, June 16: Platinum Blonde
- Wednesday, June 23: Face 2 Face – Tribute to Billy Joel and Elton John
- Wednesday, July 7: Exodus – Tribute to Bob Marley
- Wednesday, July 14: Disco Fever
- Wednesday, July 21: Shania Twin – Tribute to Shania Twain
- Wednesday, July 28: Jersey Seasons – Tribute to Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons
Holding Concerts in the Park virtually allows Vaughan residents to mark this popular and much-anticipated event safely from the comfort of their homes. Concerts will be streamed online starting at 7:30 p.m. at vaughan.ca/concerts.
The 2020 virtual Concerts in the Park Series is the recipient of an Achievement Award from Festival and Events Ontario.
Events like this contribute to the City’s commitment to creating and sustaining active, safe and diverse communities, which is a priority in the Council-approved 2018-2022 Term of Council Service Excellence Strategic Plan. By supporting and promoting community events, arts, culture and heritage, the City is continuing to foster a welcoming municipality with a high quality of life.
