Winter is more fun in snowshoes!

There may not be snow on the ground in Vaughan, but the City is ready for you to enjoy it when it returns. Back by popular demand, the City of Vaughan is offering snowshoe rentals for everyone to explore the great outdoors this winter!

Registration is open at vaughan.perfectmind.com and you can borrow a pair of snowshoes, free of charge. Snowshoes are loaned on a weekly basis for four days, Thursday to Sunday, and include one set of snowshoes per person registered, while quantities last. A refundable deposit of $50 is required at the time of registration.

Snowshoes are available for pickup anytime between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. at the registered rental location: Al Palladini Community Centre, Dufferin Clark Community Centre, Maple Community Centre, North Thornhill Community Centre or Vellore Village Community Centre.

Available snowshoe sizes:

  • 19" – holds up to 80 lbs. (small)
  • 23" – holds from 70 to 120 lbs. (medium)
  • 25" – holds up to 200 lbs. (large)
  • 30" – holds up to 250 lbs. (extra-large)
  • 34" – holds up to 300 lbs. (double extra-large)
