We’re here to help your organization become more sustainable

Do you own or operate a business in the city of Vaughan and want to make a positive impact on the community? Through the 2024 Better Your Business program, the City’s Vaughan Business and Entrepreneurship Centre (VBEC) will offer five local organizations the training and tools needed to become more socially and environmentally sustainable!

The application period for your business to register for the 2024 program is now open until Friday, June 28. Only five spots are available – and applications fill up fast – so visit vaughanbusiness.ca/BetterYourBusiness to apply now!

The Better Your Business program is designed to increase awareness of the resources available to help Vaughan’s business community improve their processes, practices and policies and ensure they are socially and environmentally responsible. Working together with entrepreneurs, the program guides businesses on their journey to implement and maintain these practices to create a more sustainable city.

The program offers one-on-one consultations with York University professor Dr. Mark Terry, who will help guide the development of your new sustainable business model to incorporate the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. If selected, your business will have the opportunity to share its newly developed sustainable business plan with the United Nations. A certificate will also be provided to demonstrate your leadership and commitment to being socially and environmentally sustainable to your customers and clients. You can learn more about the program and last year’s successful participants at vaughanbusiness.ca/BetterYourBusiness.
