The Office of the City Clerk has an important function at the City of Vaughan – have you ever wondered what duties they perform or services they provide? As part of a new series, the City will showcase the vital work undertaken by this busy team. First up: Protocol Services.

On March 8, 2011, Council approved the Terms of Reference for the Thornhill Centre Street Area Land Use Study, including the expansion of the study area, directed by Council, to include the north side of Centre Street from Concord Road to Vaughan Boulevard.  In addition, Council approved the retention of the Planning Partnership on a single source basis to undertake the study as an adjunct to the on-going Thornhill Centre Street Urban Design Guidelines and Streetscape Master Plan Study.

Today, the City of Vaughan celebrated the 2022 recipients of its annual Accessibility Champion Awards.

Business owners who plan to serve alcohol as part of an eating establishment must first purchase a Liquor Sales Licence from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).  Applications for this licence may be submitted through the online portal, iAGCO.   To support your AGCO application, you will need several items from the municipal offices.
