Double-Up Days are back! Depending on your scheduled collection day, this week or next is your chance to place up to six garbage items curbside – and no paid tags are needed.

As you pack up decorations following your holiday celebrations, you may wonder where to dispose of some items, such as broken glass, old electronics or your Christmas tree. If so, the City of Vaughan is here to provide tips and reminders to start the year off right and sort these items correctly!

If you’re cooking fats, oils and grease – such as butter, olive oil, gravy and meat fat – remember that how you dispose of them after use can make a big impact on your home’s sewer system.

With warmer temperatures and rain in the forecast, the City of Vaughan is preparing to respond to flooding caused by melting snow and ice. And there are steps you can take to be prepared and stay safe!
