The David Braley Vaughan Metropolitan Centre of Community officially opens
The Vaughan
Metropolitan Centre is growing! The emerging downtown core is home to Vaughan’s
first university, first subway station and now, a new state-of-the-art
recreation facility and library. Today, the City of Vaughan, Vaughan Public
Libraries (VPL) and the YMCA of Greater Toronto hosted the official grand
opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the David Braley Vaughan Metropolitan
Centre of Community.

Did you know that catch basins and maintenance holes connect to two different systems? Both play an essential role in keeping water flowing in Vaughan, but each has a unique function. It’s important for everyone to be aware of what should — and should not — go down the drain to help maintain the City of Vaughan’s water infrastructure, quality and supply.
Doing summer renovations?
It’s the time of year for renovation projects! If you’re planning to do some summer construction at your home or business, keep in mind that construction materials cannot be placed out for curbside waste collection in Vaughan.
