Although some of the City of Vaughan’s physical doors remain closed, City business continues uninterrupted. Many virtual offerings have been introduced or enhanced to provide a new, efficient and streamlined experience for the community. Here are the top five things to do online in Vaughan:

Culture Days kicks off in Vaughan

The City of Vaughan is dedicated to supporting artistic and cultural endeavours that add to the diversity, spirit and togetherness of our community. Starting today – Friday, Sept. 25, the City is kicking off a month-long celebration of Culture Days featuring virtual events that can be enjoyed from the comfort of home.

Mayor Bevilacqua announces fall recreation programs will be virtual

Online registration will begin Monday, Sept. 28 at 8:30 a.m.
 
The City of Vaughan is launching an expanded virtual program series this fall to keep kids active, engaged, educated and entertained from the safety of home. City instructors will livestream popular recreational programs for preschoolers, children and youth remotely via Zoom.
 
The decision to focus on virtual programming comes in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Place up to six garbage items out without tags during the weeks of Sept. 22 or Sept. 29
 
Double-Up Days are here! Scheduled for the weeks of Sept. 22 or Sept. 29, on regular garbage days, residents can place up to six items of garbage for collection without paid tags. Large or bulky items, such as furniture, can also be placed outside for pickup. Each bulky item counts as one item towards the limit. Bags should be set out by 7 a.m.
