Compliance
Compliance Letter requests are to be submitted through the Vaughan's Online Permitting Portal.
Compliance
A Compliance Letter is a property information report which provides pertinent information about a property that may be required for a real estate transaction and may include the following:
- Zoning designation
- Zoning setback compliance of structures shown on a legal property survey (if provided) (An up-to-date survey is recommended for such requests)
- Accepted Building Permit status
- Outstanding Orders and Notices
- Occupancy status
A Compliance Letter does not verify the lawful use of a property or compliance with the Zoning By-law.
A Compliance Letter is typically requested by lawyers or real estate agents acting on behalf of their clients (the purchaser) regarding the purchase and sale of property or for the financing of land. A Compliance Letter Request may be submitted to the City of Vaughan's Building Standards Department via the Online Permitting Portal.
