National Engineering Month Open House

Speak to Vaughan’s engineers

The event will showcase various engineering projects staff undertake city-wide, women’s contributions to the field, the various roles of Vaughan’s engineers, and how engineers have a critical role in building and shaping the city. There will also be snacks, swag and prizes to be won! 

Visit industry booths

Speak to industry professionals, including representatives from the Municipal Engineers Association and the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies-Ontario. 

Participate in the Bring a Bridge competition

The Open House will also feature an exciting engineering challenge to engage high school students through the Bring a Bridge competition. Students interested in participating are invited to organize a team and build a bridge prior to the event using glue and popsicle sticks. Bridges will be put to the test – live – during the event and the team with the strongest bridge will win a prize! Contact Erika.Hinze@vaughan.ca to register.
