Weston 7 Transportation Master Plan Project Updates

Study Process

The Transportation Master Plan, commenced in November 2020, will develop a long-range transportation plan. The TMP is following the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment ( 2023) process. Once complete TMP will recommend a transportation network and outline an implementation strategy for future projects that will address connectivity, growth, accessibility and mobility for all modes of transportation in the Weston 7 Secondary Plan area.

Status

The draft Transportation Master Plan study findings and recommendations were presented at the Committee of the Whole (Working Session) June 5, 2024 concurrently with an update on the Weston 7 Secondary Plan.

Concurrent with the Phases 2 and 3 of the Secondary Plan, the City initiated a Transportation Master Plan.

Notice of Study Commencement (November 5, 2020)

Background

The Weston 7 Secondary Plan Phase 1 Report was completed and received at the Committee of the Whole Working Session on June 5, 2019. As part of Phase 1, a transportation needs report was completed. Following Council's receipt of the Phase 1 report, a Transportation Master Plan in support of the Secondary Plan Study Phases 2 and 3 process was initiated.
