2018/2019 Fall & Winter Recreation Vaughan guide offers returning favourites along with new programs for all ages to enjoy

The
2018/2019 Fall & Winter Recreation Vaughan guide is now available! Along
with popular returning programs including skate lessons, swim lessons, Vaughan
Playschool sessions, and holiday and March break camps. The guide also offers a
variety of new programs for children, teens, adults and seniors to enjoy.
New
programs offered this fall and winter season include:
- Martial arts programs including a Taekwondo series in partnership with Woodbridge Taekwondo, Vaughan Sports Karate classes and Tai Chi (energy exercise).
- Ballroom Dancing series taught by a certified DanceSport instructor; includes Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Salsa, Samba, Jive, Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot and Quickstep.
- Programming and app development courses for teens to learn to design, program or test an app for mobile phones.
- Special needs fitness program with adapted sports and recreational activities for children with disabilities; in partnership with Variety Village
- Smart eating baking classes to create guilt-free breads, savoury doughs and decadent sweets; gluten-free and vegan options taught as well.
- Free health and wellness workshops by Vaughan Community Health Centre for adults on topics ranging from diabetes and fall prevention to how to quit smoking.
