Beat the Heat with Vaughan Cooling Centres

Due to extreme temperatures, the City of Vaughan has announced the opening of a number of cooling centres across the City, effective Thursday, July 5, 2012. The City is extending hours of operations at some community centres and splash pads in response to the hot weather.

Community centre hours are being extended to 11 p.m. at five facilities across the City. Community centres are air conditioned and are equipped with water fountains. Some splash pads will be open until 11 p.m. Thornhill Outdoor Pool hours have been extended to 10 P.M. Other City swimming pools are available during regular hours.
