Beat The Heat - Vaughan Opens Cooling Centres

Due to extreme temperatures, the City of Vaughan has announced the opening of a number of cooling centres across the City, effective Wednesday, June 20. The City is extending hours of operations for all community centres and splash pads in response to the hot weather.

Community centre hours are being extended to 11 p.m. at five facilities across the City. Community centres are air conditioned and are equipped with water fountains. Splash pads will be open until 11 p.m. Hours at Thornhill Outdoor Pool are extended to 10 p.m. Other City swimming pools are available during regular hours.
