Celebrating Vaughan’s award-winning events
The City received four awards from Festivals and Events Ontario for 2022
Throughout the year, the City of Vaughan provides free, fun family-friendly events that are also award-winning! In recognition of its commitment to delivering Service Excellence, the City’s Recreation Services department received four awards from Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) for events held in 2022. The awards were presented during a special ceremonial presentation at today’s Committee of the Whole (1) meeting.
At the 2023 FEO Awards Gala, the City’s Events team was presented with two awards in the Best Promotional Campaign Category – one for Vaughan Celebrates Canada Day and one for Vaughan Celebrates Concerts in the Park. These events were also recognized as two of Ontario's top 100 festivals and events. Last year marked the return of in-person events for the City since the start of the COVID-19 global pandemic in 2020.
The Vaughan Celebrates program includes Winterfest, Concerts in the Park and Canada Day, along with many other events throughout the year the community can enjoy such as cultural and festive celebrations, Volunteer Recognition Awards, park openings and more.
