Chill Out at Vaughan WinterFest

Entertainment and Winter Fun — Plus Meet Hockey Star Nazem Kadri!

Vaughan residents and visitors can celebrate the winter season with the best in entertainment and activities at the 26th annual WinterFest. This year’s event includes a special autograph signing session with hockey star Nazem Kadri.

WinterFest — which was named one of the Top 100 Festivals and Events in Ontario in 2014 — takes place on Sunday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Vellore Village Community Centre, with an official welcome on the outdoor stage at 11 a.m.

Presented by TD and event sponsors CN, Tim Hortons and TransCanada Pipelines, the free event has a Midway-Zone, IceZone, horse-drawn wagon rides and more, with food available for purchase in the Food-Zone. The entertainment lineup features:

  • An autograph signing with Nazem Kadri at 2 p.m.
  • Canadian singer and songwriter Vita Chambers
  • Singing performances by Ice Queen and Ice Princess
  • Bounce Entertainment
  • Love You Forever and More Munsch — a stage adaptation of stories by Canada’s beloved children’s author Robert Munsch
  • Meet and greets with the Care Bears™, fairy tale princesses and Star Wars characters

Parking is not available at the event site. Visitors may park at Vaughan City Hall located at 2141 Major Mackenzie Dr. or Emily Carr Secondary School at 4901 Rutherford Rd.
