City of Vaughan acquires Sports Village

The City will work towards delivering brand new offerings, including an improved outdoor skating trail, and continue the excellent levels of service to residents through this facility.

“The Sports village has been home
for aspiring young and adult athletes in Vaughan since the first drop of the
puck 23 hockey seasons ago. This unique arena is Vaughan’s favorite place to play. Like the
many NHL athletes who started their intrepid journey at the Village, it takes a
bold vision to build something great. I am grateful that Mentana Group and the
City of Vaughan partnered to build such a impacting sport legacy. The Sports
Village is entering a new phase and I am delighted that the City of Vaughan is
committed to build on the success of the past. My genuine appreciation and
heartfelt thanks to our incredible customers, coaches, athletes, the City of
