Do you have a creative or culinary skill or are you a master at chess? Maybe you are a wellness guru or like to dance? The City of Vaughan’s Recreation Services department is hiring part-time program instructors, skate instructors, shinny hockey attendants, skate captains and skate patrol for its recreation programs at Vaughan community centres.

The City has positions available for the following programs and specialties:
  • Ballet and ballroom dancing
  • Chess
  • Cooking
  • Cricket 
  • Fitness
  • Inclusion/Integration
  • Karate
  • Multimedia art
  • Photography
  • Preschool 
  • Qigong
  • Skating and hockey (instruction and recreational)
  • STEM
  • Tai chi
  • Theatre
  • Youth room supervision

To work with the City as a part-time program instructor, you must:
  • be eligible to work in Canada.
  • be 16 years of age or older.
  • have a Social Insurance Number.
  • complete and pass a Standard First Aid and CPR-C training.
  • have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • provide specialty certifications where required.
  • have received first and second doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine.
