Register now for the City’s October Business Planning
Launchpad Series
To help set small businesses and entrepreneurs up for success, the
City of Vaughan is continuing its virtual Business Planning Launchpad Series in
October.
Delivered
by the Vaughan Business and Entrepreneurship Centre, the Business Planning
Launchpad Series is a free virtual program designed to support startups and
established small businesses with training sessions. In addition, all
participants can book 30-minute one-on-one meetings
with the City’s entrepreneur advisor to receive feedback on their business and
financial plans.
Each
session covers one of four training topics:
- Ideation – Learn how to validate a business idea, vision, mission and market research to test business assumptions
- Marketing – Learn about target markets, unique selling points, and marketing basics and must-dos to build a solid marketing plan to generate leads
- Operations and Sales – Learn about customizing effective sales approaches and processes and operational and risk management
- Financial – Learn about key financial terms, how to complete the Starter Company Plus program financial templates and finalize a business plan
Participants
will have the opportunity to apply for up to $5,000 in provincial grant funding
and will be guided to complete different elements of their business plan in
reference to the Starter Company Plus program.
Here is the schedule for the October Business Planning Launchpad Series:
- Ideation: Tuesday, Oct. 4 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
- Marketing: Tuesday, Oct. 11 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
- Operations and Sales: Tuesday, Oct. 18 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
- Financial: Tuesday, Oct. 25 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
