Enhancing Vaughan’s trails and walkways

Upgrades and repairs are part of the City’s spring maintenance efforts

Who doesn’t enjoy strolling outdoors on park trails and walkways during the warmer months? The City of Vaughan is committed to properly maintaining these spaces to keep you safe and active this spring and summer! In fact, crews are currently working to repair 70 park trails and walkways across the community.   

City staff inspects more than 1,000 kilometres of sidewalks annually looking for any areas that require repairs, which are prioritized based on the condition and can include anything from grinding trip hazards to completely removing and replacing sections of sidewalks.

Over the next few months, some park trails and walkways will be temporarily closed as crews repair damaged asphalt and concrete surfaces. Your patience is greatly appreciated as these locations undergo improvements.

Below is a list of locations identified for maintenance. Please note, only certain areas within these locations will be undergoing improvements – not entire parks.
