Experience Thrills and Chills at the City of Vaughan's Annual Winterfest

The City of Vaughan is inviting everyone to enjoy some frosty fun at its 23rd annual Winterfest. This fun-filled family event takes place on Sunday, February 5, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the North Thornhill Community Centre. Winterfest is presented by TD and the event sponsor CN.

Winterfest will feature FREE stage entertainment at the outdoor Amphitheatre, a Tim Hortons Midway Zone, an Ice Zone with carving demos and activities, face painting, a pizza making workshop, displays, children’s crafts and much more!
An Official Welcome by Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council will take place at the outdoor amphitheatre at 10:30 a.m. 
 
Entertainment highlights include Max & Ruby's Musical Playdate; Fearless – A Tribute to Taylor Swift; Puss in Boots Meet & Greet; CariVaughan: Bringing the Sound of Carnival; Kobbler Jay: The Eccentric Juggler; and Doo Doo the International Clown. Toronto Maple Leafs Defenceman Jake Gardiner will be on hand for a free autograph session at 2:00 p.m. 
 
All activities are free and food will be available for purchase. A free Shuttle Bus Service will run to and from Vaughan City Hall, 2141 Major Mackenzie Drive, and the Winterfest site, 300 Pleasant Ridge Avenue in Thornhill, between 9:15 a.m. and 4:15 p.m.
