Diabetes Awareness Month is a national advocacy campaign organized by the Canadian Diabetes Association. Its mission is to lead the fight against diabetes and find a cure, while helping the nine million Canadians who live with diabetes.

Diabetes Awareness Month supports the City’s Active Together initiative.
Launched in 2009, Active Together, the City’s physical activity strategy, aims to increase awareness of rising inactivity and obesity levels across Vaughan, and helps prevent chronic diseases such as diabetes.
