Get ready to shake, rattle and roll this summer
Vaughan announces Concerts in the Park lineup
With the
summer season fast-approaching, this is the best time to enjoy the outdoors. For
the 22nd year, the City of Vaughan is hosting its free Concerts in the Park
series beginning with the first one in June. Six concerts are planned across
the City to entertain families and residents of all ages.
The shows take
place throughout the summer on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m., weather
permitting. Here are the details for each concert:
- June 22 – The high-energy party band Soular will launch the concert series at Vaughan City Hall’s outdoor courtyard, 2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.
- June 29 – Johnny & The Cruizers: a tribute to the 50s and 60s will have you dancing and laughing at York Hill District Park, 501 Clark Ave. W., Thornhill
- July 6 – Funk, soul, Motown and R&B will be on the menu when the St. Royals play the North Thornhill Community Centre Outdoor Amphitheatre, 300 Pleasant Ridge Ave., Thornhill
- July 20 – Tributes to Tom Jones and Rod Stewart will take over Mackenzie Glen District Park, 220 Cranston Park Ave., Maple
- July 27 – Enjoy the vibrant acoustic hits of RED: Tribute to Taylor Swift at Sonoma Heights Community Park, 100 Sunset Ridge, Woodbridge
- Aug. 3 – The King of Pop will bring the series to a close with Thriller Canada: a tribute to Michael Jackson at Chancellor District Park, 430 Chancellor Dr., Woodbridge
