Share your feedback on City programs and services starting today

How do you prefer to access City of Vaughan services and programs? What are some of the ways you prefer to receive information and updates? These are just a couple of the questions you’ll be asked to answer as part of the City of Vaughan’s Citizen Survey, which launches today!

Forum Research will conduct approximately 800 telephone surveys on behalf of the City to residents aged 18 years and older who have been randomly selected. The calls will be placed between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Monday to Friday, and between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekends until Sunday, Dec. 4. Your participation is critically important!

If you are not selected for the phone survey, you can still have a say! Starting today until Thursday, Dec. 15, you are encouraged to complete the Citizen Survey online at vaughan.ca/CitizenSurvey.

The results from this survey will help ensure the City continues to offer a range of programs and services to meet the needs of the growing community and empower Council and the administration to prioritize issues that improve municipal service delivery. Your responses will also determine how the City shares important updates to keep you informed and maintain the exceptional quality of life and standard of living in Vaughan.

Since 2007, the City has regularly conducted citizen surveys to understand the evolving needs and desires of the community. By maintaining a consistent pulse on what you would like to see from your municipal government, the City can continue to transform and expand offerings while delivering service excellence.

The results of the telephone survey will be published at vaughan.ca/CitizenSurvey once the survey has concluded and the responses have been analyzed.

Business Survey
The City is also launching the Business Survey to understand the values and perceptions of local businesses on economic climate, challenges and opportunities, as well as their overall satisfaction with the delivery of programs and services to support Vaughan’s economic growth and development.

Starting today until Sunday, Dec. 4, Forum Research will conduct approximately 300 telephone surveys on behalf of the City with local businesses. Survey respondents will be drawn from the York Region Employment Survey database from a variety of industries and sizes of businesses. The calls will be placed between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. If your business receives a call, you are encouraged to participate!

If your business does not receive a call, you can still complete the Business Survey online at vaughanbusiness.ca/survey2022 until Thursday, Dec. 15.

Vaughan’s business and job growth are fundamental to the city’s economic vitality. With 19,000 companies employing more than 236,000 people, Vaughan’s economic base is the largest employment centre in York Region – both in terms of establishments and employment. The City’s Business Survey will help gauge whether local businesses are growing, declining or stagnating; understand planned investments and readiness for change; determine factors that influence business operations and growth, and more.
