Have your say about our future greenspaces!
Deadline extended: take the survey until Oct. 31
How do you use Vaughan’s greenspaces, like parks, trails and woodlots? How can these areas better meet your needs? Do you want more of these spaces? We want to hear from you!
The City of Vaughan is working to build, maintain and enhance its system of greenspaces – including pedestrian pathways, urban forests, valleylands, wetlands, open space areas and naturalized areas – as part of the Greenspace Strategic Plan. This plan will evaluate the current state of city-wide local greenspaces and provide strategies and recommendations to guide future planning, design, implementation and management of this network over the next 30 years.
There are many ways you can have a say. Here’s how:
DEADLINE EXTENDED!: Take an online survey at vaughan.ca/GreenspacePlan until Tuesday, Oct. 31.
Comment on this interactive map and pin-point greenspace areas where you would like to see more parks. You can also place pins on areas you currently enjoy visiting!
Join a community walk on Saturday, Oct. 14! Rain or shine, this guided two-hour walk will take place at 11 a.m., beginning from Dufferin District Park (1441 Clark Ave W.). The route will go to Marita Payne Park and adjacent areas. Please dress according to weather conditions and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated! Register to join.
