Celebrating success stories from the City’s 2024 Summer Company program
Congratulations to the successful participants of the City of Vaughan’s 2024 Summer Company program, who were recognized by Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council at the Nov. 19 Council meeting!
Since 2002, the City’s Summer Company program has helped hundreds of student entrepreneurs turn their business ideas into reality – and 2024 is no different. This year, the program was completed by the following 14 young entrepreneurs who launched businesses ranging from automotive detailing and clothing design to landscaping and photography ventures:
- Adam Davis, owner of Davis Tutoring
- Adir Goldenberg, owner of Adir’s Cookies
- Akasha Aftab, owner of Miracle Designs
- Dave Singh, owner of Dine Design Websites
- Ethan Cohen, owner of Stressynol
- Jassa Samra, owner of Green Maple Property Services
- Josh Ovis, owner of Cyberforge Computers
- Joshua Szweras, owner of Brand Pilot AI
- Jin Zhou, owner of Avatar Debate Academy
- Mariam Garcia, owner of Strategy Growth
- Matthew Kurtz, owner of Kurtz Karpentry
- Max De Saint, owner of Oasis Cards and Games
- Meghan Lee, owner of The Turnip Troops
- Serena Wang, owner of Serena’s Stitches
Delivered by the City’s Vaughan Business and Entrepreneurship Centre, in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, the program equips young entrepreneurs with a pipeline of tools, skills, connections and resources required to succeed in their business ventures.
