Plan your child’s special occasion at a City community
centre
Looking for ideas on where to host your child’s next birthday party
or playdate? It’s a piece of cake with the City of Vaughan! Book your next
event at a Vaughan community centre and work with City staff to plan your event
featuring some classic and specialty themed parties.
Parties and playdates
are available to book for two-hour time blocks on Fridays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
and weekends from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Enjoy one hour of specialty instruction
delivered by a recreation program instructor, followed by an hour of private
festivities in an activity room. Times vary depending on location. To
check availability and book your party or

and press option 2.

Parties:
How We Roll
Save the card games for
a rainy day – play a friendly two-hour game of indoor lawn bowling (bocce)
instead. The ‘aim’ is to have fun, but the person who rolls their ball closest
to the jack ball gets to call themselves the winner!
Rock ‘n’ Bowl
Have some ‘spare’ time?
Strike up some fun at the newly renovated four-lane, five-pin Maple Bowling
Alley, featuring advanced pin-setting technology, gutters, automatic bumpers,
synthetic lanes and a surround sound speaker system. A sports attendant will be
on hand to assist bowlers.
Have a Ball
It’s game day! Put your
game face on and play your favourite sport with friends. Whether it’s basketball,
volleyball, soccer, ball hockey, dodgeball, tennis or badminton, the choice is
yours! A sports attendant helps organize and referee a one-hour sports session.
Splash Bash
‘Water’ you waiting
for? Enjoy one hour of pool time and soak in the fun with your friends! Two
lifeguards are on duty to ensure your pool party is a safe one.
‘Specialty’ Playdates
and Parties:
Hip Hop Hooray!
When you feel the beat, and you just can’t stop – time to pop, lock and
drrrr-op. Groove and move through some basic choreography step-by-step with
your crew. Style code encouraged – come as you are, or be stage-ready and showcase
your moves in a performance that rounds out your event.
Like Royals
Hear ye, hear ye! Your
royal highness (the guest of honour) requests the presence of all in the
kingdom that love to dress up and dance. Incorporating themes and music from
Disney classics, the celebration is filled with enchantment, interactive
storytelling, royalty-themed games and a mini dance routine. Royal attire is a
must.
Open Canvas
Let your imagination,
Gogh! Explore colour mixing and brushstroke application; then create your great
masterpiece. Each kit includes a 12-piece acrylic paint tube, two large
canvasses (9” x 12”) and three brushes (two small and one medium).
