The festive season means time off school and, for some, work. There are many places in Vaughan for you to go to enjoy the season.
- Drop in to a Vaughan community centre for leisure activities, such as swimming, bowling, basketball and shinny hockey.
- Bundle up and play in your local parks or trails.

Before making your plans, be sure to check out the City’s facility closure schedule. City facilities and services will operate on alternate schedules over the holidays.
Vaughan City Hall and Joint Operations Centre closures
- Thursday, Dec. 24 at noon to Friday, Jan. 1
- Facilities will resume regular business hours on Monday, Jan. 4
Vaughan Community Centres
- Visit the Holiday Central page on vaughan.ca/recreation or contact your local community centre for holiday activity schedules.
- The following community centres will be open on Thursday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 31. All other community centres will be closed those days.
- Al Palladini Community Centre – 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Father E. Bulfon Community Centre – 5:45 a.m. to noon
- Garnet A. Williams Community Centre – 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Maple Community Centre – 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

- Collections scheduled for Friday, Dec. 25 will be picked up one day later on Saturday, Dec. 26.

- Christmas trees will be picked up during the weeks of Jan. 5 and 12.
