Jumpstart Spring with Seedy Saturday at Vaughan City Hall

The City of Vaughan is hosting the first Seedy Saturday event in Vaughan at City Hall on Saturday, March 2.

Seedy Saturday is an opportunity to jumpstart the growing season by exchanging seeds and sharing gardening advice. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall, 2141 Major Mackenzie Drive, and brings together garden enthusiasts to buy, sell and trade planting seeds including vegetables, herbs, flowers and native species.  

Other Seedy Saturday events include:

  • Exhibits from local seed and garden vendors
  • A community seed exchange
  • Fresh food café
  • Hands-on gardening workshops and speaker presentations
  • Children’s activities
  • Musical entertainment
  • Door prizes

Project partners include the City of Vaughan, Vaughan Public Libraries, Town of Markham, Seeds For Change and York Region Food Network.
