Premier fundraiser gives hope, inspires change and celebrates generosity

People in the City of Vaughan proudly rise to the occasion to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Throughout the past six years, the Mayor’s Gala – together with the Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua Annual Charity Golf Classic – has raised more than $3.3 million to help more than 100 not-for-profit organizations providing essential services to the community. Each year, the events bring about a renewed spirit of generosity and an outpouring of compassion.

Canadian music star and Juno Award winner Jully Black will headline the Mayor’s Gala this year which is being held at the Terrace Banquet Centre at 1680 Creditstone Rd. Known for her explosive live performances that showcase her unique and powerful voice, Black has a keen ability to engage audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

As Vaughan marks its 25th year as a city, the theme for this year’s Gala – Making Modern History – is inspired by the City’s silver anniversary and highlights the opportunity to celebrate successes, pay tribute to the past and look forward to the future.

This truly defines the City of Vaughan as we are blessed with the ability and willingness to unite with the purpose of creating a community that is vibrant, dynamic and inclusive. I am inspired by how many lives we have touched and our continued commitment to bring about positive change. The success of this event can only be achieved with the support of our caring and compassionate community.
