Keep fit from the safety of home
Fitness members can borrow
exercise equipment during COVID-19 closures
As part
of the City of Vaughan’s ongoing efforts to continue providing the community
with resources to stay active from home, Recreation Services will be offering
Vaughan Fitness Equipment Packages for loan to Vaughan Fitness members for the
duration of the facility closures.
Members
will have the option to choose between a light or heavy package (while
quantities last, limit of one package per household) and the program will be
offered free of charge – all that will be required at the time of booking is a
security deposit. Equipment includes hand weights, aerobic step platforms and
more.
All
equipment comes prepackaged and has been individually inspected, cleaned and
disinfected. It will be available through contactless curbside pickup at the
community centre specified at the time of booking. Once the booking is
completed, a staff member will be in contact to provide further information,
including next steps, pickup arrangements and return process.

Registration
for the program will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5 through the online
Registration Portal at reconline.ca. Vaughan Fitness
members who are 18 years of age or older are eligible to participate. For more
