As part of the City of Vaughan’s ongoing efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the community, additional precautionary measures are being implemented within the By-law and Compliance, Licensing and Permit Services department to promote social distancing.

The
following services have been impacted:
Business
licensing
A grace
period of 90 days has been established for business licence renewals. Licensees
may defer renewal of their existing business licence up to 90 days past the
expiry date of their licence.
New
businesses are still required to be licensed. New
licence applications may be submitted by email to bylaw@vaughan.ca, along with scanned
copies of required documentation. Payments can be made by cheque and mailed to
Vaughan City Hall at 2141 Major Mackenzie
Dr., Vaughan, ON, L6A 1T1.
Other permits
Effective immediately until Monday, April 6, event,
filming and lottery permits will no longer be issued.
Parking
infractions and other administrative monetary penalties
If an
administrative monetary penalty, such as a parking ticket, is received, it can
be paid online at PayVaughanTicket.com.
To
arrange an alternative method of payment or to schedule an appointment to
dispute the ticket, call Access Vaughan at 905-832-2281 within 15 days of
receiving it. Failure to do so may result in extra fees and penalties.
Scheduled
disputes
Disputes
are being conducted over the phone until further notice. In-person appointments
may only be scheduled after Sunday, May 31.
Alternative
arrangements will be made for residents who currently have a dispute
appointment that is scheduled prior to Monday, June 1. If you have an upcoming
appointment, email bylaw@vaughan.ca or call Access Vaughan
at 905-832-2281 to schedule a phone-in screening.

For inquiries
related to the City’s enforcement services or to register a complaint, call
Access Vaughan at 905-832-2281. By-law officers continue to operate, patrol and
respond to calls on a priority basis.
