Mayor Bevilacqua welcomes new provincial initiative

The following statement was issued by Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua:

“I commend Premier Ford on the recent launch of the Ontario Together initiative. This marks the latest measure in a collective effort by all levels of government to respond to the ongoing COVID-19 challenge.

“Ontario Together is a province-wide call to action for supplies, innovative solutions and transformational ideas from people, businesses and organizations. It is incumbent upon all of us to answer this call in the service of our neighbours.

“Requests for supplies include life-saving medical products such as ventilators, swabs, masks and eye protection. Solutions are being sought to address issues pertaining to mental health, supply chain and financial planning and advising for small businesses.

“The mandate of Ontario Together aligns with the new Vaughan Business Action Plan – which includes a series of temporary measures to safeguard the local economy and protect businesses, consumers and all citizens. The City’s Economic and Cultural Development department continues to provide frontline support for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

“I encourage all Vaughan businesses, organizations and citizens to learn more and get involved with both the Ontario Together and Vaughan Business Action Plan initiatives.”
