Online Exhibit Commemorates Vaughan's Contribution to Two World Wars

Aug. 28, 2014

The City of Vaughan Archives will be releasing an online exhibition on Remembrance Day to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First World War and the 75th anniversary of the Second World War. The exhibit will honour the men and women from Vaughan Township and the Village of Woodbridge who served in two of history’s greatest conflicts.

To complement the materials currently housed in Vaughan’s archives collection, the community is encouraged to submit any photos, documents or stories from either of these wars. Submitted material will be featured in the online exhibit on the City of Vaughan website.

For more information about the upcoming exhibition or to contribute to the exhibit, please contact the City of Vaughan Archives at 905-832-8585 ext. 8793, or archives@vaughan.ca. The deadline for exhibit submissions is Oct. 31.
