Pre-registration is required and opens at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 12 at vaughan.perfectmind.comMembers and non-members can register four days and two hours in advance of the scheduled fitness class.

The City offers a wide variety of classes for all ages and skill levels to keep you active and having fun in a group setting. Do total body conditioning using resistance equipment and your body weight, or dance the cha-cha, mambo and calypso in a Zumba class. Burn calories in a short time with Tabata: high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Get your heart rate up and break a sweat with CIRC-HIIT or in a high-energy cardio pump class. Destress and stretch in yoga and Pilates classes.

Fitness classes are offered mornings and evenings and are one hour in length. The first 15 minutes are dedicated to the check-in procedure, which includes a health screening; the instructional time is 45 minutes. Physical distancing protocols will be in place for fitness classes and will have limited equipment available. You must bring your own mat for floor exercises, and you will be required to clean equipment with the provided disinfectant wipes before and after use. Fitness classes have a limited capacity of 10.

As part of the check-in procedure, you will be required to complete the provincial public health self-assessment before heading to class. Upon arrival at the facility, you will be asked to present your fitness membership card, sanitize your hands, undergo a temperature check and complete the Daily Declaration of Health Screening before entering. Information about safety protocols is also outlined in this quick video.
