PSA: A brand new online experience

Vaughan to collaborate with the community on a refreshed, state-of-the-art website

Ensuring an online experience that is pleasing, efficient and fit for purpose is an important goal as the City of Vaughan strives to deliver service excellence on the web. The Vaughan website is the communitys one-stop-shop for accessing City-related information, news, services and conducting transactions online. As the City’s largest communication channel, the website had approximately 1.4-million visitors and 4.8-million page views in 2017. The City is exploring a complete revamp of vaughan.ca, which presents an opportunity to improve the website’s technology, accessibility, structure, functionality and access to information.

The first step in creating an optimal website is to develop a strategy that captures the wants and needs of the end user. The views and opinions of all current and future users of the Vaughan website are important in understanding how it should look, feel and operate. The City will be hosting several opportunities for the public to provide feedback on the new website strategy.

Interactive workshops will focus on usability, web experience and design. Using hands-on navigation, participants will scan vaughan.ca, test certain elements and features, and identify preferred features and functions. Roundtable discussions will highlight best-in-class practices and yield suggestions for improvements. Interested participants can register for one of the following workshops through EventBrite:
