PSA: Have your say on Bill 66
The City of Vaughan is holding a Special Committee of the Whole meeting at City Hall on Jan. 17 to discuss the draft legislation
The City of Vaughan invites members of the community to share their thoughts on Bill 66 at a Special Committee of the Whole Working Session on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 6 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall in Council Chamber.
During this meeting, the public will have the opportunity to provide feedback on this draft legislation to Mayor and Members of Council. Hard copies of the deputation form will be provided. Residents can also submit their comments directly to the Ontario government.
The Special Committee of the Whole Working Session will be followed by a Special Council Meeting on this matter. The City intends to respond to the Province’s request for feedback by the deadline of Jan. 20, 2019.
Bill 66 is the Ontario government’s Restoring Ontario’s Competitiveness Act. This proposed legislation, which has not yet been passed by the Ontario Legislature, was first introduced on Dec. 6, 2018.
