The City’s newest
recreation facility offers programming for everyone
There’s a new place to learn, stay active and have fun this
fall! Earlier this year, the City of Vaughan opened the David Braley Vaughan
Metropolitan Centre of Community, featuring the Vaughan Studios & Event
Space (VSES), in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre. As part of the City’s fall
recreation programming, VSES will offer a wide variety of classes for people of
all ages to enjoy in the heart of Vaughan’s downtown core.
Programs
will start the week of Oct. 3 and include:
- parent and child barre, yoga, dance and musical theatre classes, as well as first aid workshops
- ballet lessons for preschoolers
- money management classes for children
- cooking and baking, money management and Standard First Aid and CPR-C for teens
- adult barre and partner yoga classes, culinary lessons and nutrition workshops
- December break camps for children: Dancing Chefs
The 19,000-square-foot facility
is within walking distance to the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Subway Station
and features sophisticated, state-of-the-art amenities for everyone to enjoy,
including:
- a 3,350-square-foot studio with a skyfold partition and gallery that exits to a rooftop terrace
- two studios (825 and 1190 square feet)
- a 592-square-foot, professional music-recording studio
- a 1,450-square-foot gourmet teaching kitchen
