available at vaughan.perfectmind.com.
The City’s summer camps
are open for children and youth ages four to 18 years old during July and

homes and green spaces throughout Vaughan, with the exception of Garnet A.
Williams Community Centre as it remains closed for renovations.
Programming will run
from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily with flexible drop-off times available from 8:30
a.m. and 9 a.m. and pickup between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Flex drop-off and pick-up options
are not available at the City Playhouse Theatre or for any half day camp.
There are more than 40

water adventures. This year’s camp highlights include:

Summer
aquatic leadership
Swim
instructors and lifeguards are prestigious part-time jobs, and the City of
Vaughan is always hiring. Training and
certification in aquatic leadership courses – delivered by the City’s
aquatic leadership staff – will be available at select community centre
pools during July and August. Pre-registration is
required and opens on Wednesday, April 20 at 8:30 a.m.
at vaughan.perfectmind.com. For more information,
view the Aquatic Leadership
brochure (PDF).
Summer
swim lessons
Starting
Monday, July 4, all learn-to-swim
lessons will be offered at community centre pools. Schedules will be
made available online on Monday, May 2 at 8:30 a.m. at vaughan.perfectmind.com
and online
registration will open on Wednesday, May 11 at 8:30 a.m. The online
registration system features enhanced search filters, allowing you
to sort by level, location, date and time.
Most
City staff are no longer required to wear a mask in the workplace. As a result,
swim lessons have returned to their pre-pandemic formats – swim instructors are
teaching in the water and parents/guardians no longer need to participate in
the water for early development swim levels, including Preschool 1-5 and
Swimmer 1-3, for both group and private/semi-private lessons. For special needs
swim lessons, participants are required to provide their own support worker or
guardian if a volunteer is not available. For more information, email specialneeds@vaughan.ca.
