You’re invited to the City’s Lunar celebration on Jan. 14

The Vaughan community is invited to join Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council to the City’s Lunar New Year celebration on Saturday, Jan. 14 from noon to 2 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.).

This annual event returns in-person for the first time since 2020. Festivities will feature remarks from Mayor Del Duca, family-friendly entertainment, musical performances, a traditional lion dance and more.

Of all the traditional cultural festivals that are observed around the world, the Lunar New Year is one of the most elaborate, colourful and important to the Asian community. It is a time to congratulate each other on having completed another year, to part with the old and to welcome in the new.
