Celebrate with Mayor Del Duca and Members of Council on Jan. 16

To mark Tamil Heritage Month and Thai Pongal, Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council are inviting the Vaughan community to join them in celebration on Monday, Jan. 16, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.).

The event will honour and commemorate the richness of Tamil art, heritage and culture. Festivities will feature greetings from Mayor Del Duca, traditional musical and dance performances and a candle-lighting ceremony for Thai Pongal.

Canada is proud to be home to one of the largest Tamil populations in the world and in January the City honours the many contributions that Tamil Canadians have made and continue to make.
