Recreation Services and Vaughan Public Libraries are offering a variety of virtual activities

Looking for ways to keep your kids active and engaged from home during the PA Day on Friday, Nov. 13? The City of Vaughan has you covered with many fun and safe online activities to choose from.

For preschoolers, children and youth, Recreation Services is offering the following virtual programs:

  • Train your brain: Compete in a board game battle and brain game challenge or learn about nature and how to explore local green spaces.
  • Get creative: Discover the ancient art of paper folding (origami) or find ways to twist and turn pipe cleaners into beautiful masterpieces.
  • Kick, pose, play and stretch: Take a jab at karate or practice basic yoga moves to improve balance, strength, flexibility and co-ordination.
  • Olympic Stars for kids with special needs: Stay active while at home – exercise, gain confidence, bust boredom and – most of all – have fun!

Each activity is one hour in length, costs $10 and will be livestreamed on Zoom by City instructors. Online registration is underway at vaughan.ca/RecOnline. Pre-registration is required. An information package and Zoom link will be emailed in advance. For more information or to obtain a registration barcode and PIN, contact Access Vaughan at 905-832-2281 or email reccsd@vaughan.ca.
